This past weekend was the two year anniversary of Jesus leading me out of the desert of divorce and into His freedom. On the very evening that my divorce was finalized He came to me as the radiant beautiful Bridegroom of The Song of Songs and asked me to be His bride. As my children would say… Jesus didn’t wait a hot second to reveal His desire for me to be all His! In that moment, my response was disbelief… “Me?? You cannot possibly want me. I am such a mess!” And yet He did and He does! Not just despite my wounds and imperfections but actually because of them!
And now, I can say with the Bride of The Song of Songs, “I am black but lovely, daughters of Jerusalem.” because my Lord and my Bridegroom loves me right here and now and His love heals, sanctifies, and redeems all my messy brokenness and imperfections. Into my deepest wounds He pours His love and flowers of grace and beauty bloom!
In my ministry work at Hope’s Garden, I am hearing story after story of Jesus the Bridegroom of our souls coming to women and asking them to give their hearts to Him… to let Him be their one, true, eternal Spouse. He wants all hearts to know and fall in love with Him. He desires a spousal relationship with every soul regardless of our state in life or vocation. The spousal love of God is our first love!
The Bridegroom is coming… He is coming to our hearts, knocking and asking us to open to Him so He can heal us and, like the woman at the well, give us His Living Water so the thirsting of our desert hearts might be eternally quenched.
I am so excited to invite you to our first virtual workshop, Eternally Loved. Come and meet Christ the Bridegroom. His love heals, purifies and restores your heart.
Join us for this special time of encountering Jesus in a whole new way!
We begin Tuesday October 27th at 7:30pm EST.
