Christ, Bridegroom of The Garden

We as women are reflections of The Bride of Christ. As living representatives, we have
an obligation to fulfill the role that has been given to us. With Christ as our eternal
spouse, in the spirit we can birth beauty and nurture it.
As Bride, our capacity to birth and nurture beauty depends upon our union with The
Lord.
Living in wholeness with Jesus; what does this look like? Spiritual barrenness to
spiritual fertility; chains to freedom, mourning to joy, blindness to beauty, ashes to
Resurrection. The power of The Resurrection is alive and dwells within you. What’s
holding you back from experiencing it as The Bride? Perhaps you’re simply one
surrender away from being made anew. I encourage you to unravel your heart, and “let
Christ love you into full bloom.” 1
On the morning of The Resurrection, Mary Magdalene had mistaken The Resurrected
Lord, for a gardener.
13 “And they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “They
have taken my Lord, and I don’t know where they laid Him.”14 When she had said this,
she turned around and saw Jesus there, but did not know it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to
her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?” She thought it was the
gardener and said to Him, “Sir, if you carried Him away, tell me where you laid Him, and
I will take Him.”16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him in Hebrew,
“Rabbouni,” – which means Teacher.” – John 20:13-16
What does Mary Magdalene thinking Jesus was a gardener reveal to us?
“Perhaps this woman (Mary Magdalene) was not as mistaken as she appeared to be
when she believed that Jesus was a gardener. Was He not spiritually a gardener for her

when He planted the fruitful seeds of virtue in Her heart by the force of His love?” – Saint
Gregory The Great
Christ reveals Himself as Bridegroom of The Garden.

In Eden, Adam was the gardener of the garden of paradise. Christ, The New Adam, is
the New Gardener, of The New Paradise. Christ is now The Bridegroom of The Garden,
who tills and uproots the weeds of our souls, until the garden of our heart is in full
bloom, on fresh display.
The same God that was present in those first mornings of creation, with Adam and Eve
is the same God that dwells within you. God hasn’t changed. We have. God’s love
hasn’t grown cold, ours has.
Gabrielle Bossis said to Jesus, “Lord, I should like to talk with you with as much grace
as the first woman when you came to visit Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.”
Jesus replied to her saying,
“But you have much more cause for loving Me than your first parents. I was only their
Creator and Benefactor, the one who gave them Light, whereas I am your Savior and
Redeemer, your tender Victim, love unveiled. I do more than visit you. I in-dwell you.
You partake of Me as food. I never leave you unless you drive Me away. Then find
within you, heart-melting words of love.”
Understand it well. You were not made to live in chains, in confinement, bound by sin.
You were made for more. Bride, we were made for The Garden, and it’s time to live like
it, and enter deeper into it.
It’s time to let The Bride in us arise in Her glory. It’s time to trade in the barren wasteland
for Eden. It’s time to be spiritually fertile, and to bear fruit in the eternal gardens.
Calling The Bride, The Bridegroom of The Garden is waiting for you.
I wasn’t made to live a fallen life.
I was made for union.

I was made for Communion.
I was made for wholeness.
I was made for beauty.
I was made for freedom.
I was made for reverence.
I was made for truth.
I was made for Resurrection.
I was made for the garden.
Claim this. Declare this. Understand this. This gift is all yours if you want it.
