Jesus, The Bridegroom, AbbeyFest, and a Foretaste of Heaven

Imagine a music festival: the lights, the energy, the crowd moving together in rhythm. Now imagine that festival is AbbeyFest, the annual Catholic music festival which brings faith, music, and family together to praise our God.  The headliner is none other than Jesus, the Bridegroom. Every festival has a main act and AbbeyFest was no exception with performances from Big Daddy Weave and Crowder.  But the ultimate headliner is Jesus Himself, present in the Eucharist. As the Bridegroom, He draws His Church—the bride—close to His heart. Through Mass and Adoration, we experience His love personally and intimately. The music lifts our hearts, but it’s His presence that transforms our souls and calls us into a deeper relationship with Him.  AbbeyFest gives us this opportunity.  

Festivals are about connection, and so is our Catholic faith. AbbeyFest gathers believers from all walks of life, creating a living, breathing community—the Bride united with her Bridegroom. Each voice blends into a harmony of praise and worship, echoing the love Christ has for His Church. Together, we celebrate not only music but the divine romance that sustains our souls.

As artists take the stage to share their gifts, it is as if the Bride of Christ Herself, takes the stage of our lives.  Every act of prayer, kindness, and service becomes a note in God’s symphony of love. Baptism, the sacraments, and a life of grace empower us to live as faithful brides, shining Christ’s light in the world and reflecting His love to everyone around us.

No festival is complete without music. At AbbeyFest, sacred songs filled with praise and the glory of God lead us into deeper communion with our Bridegroom. Singing, dancing, and praying in community tune our hearts to His rhythm. Each song, each lifted voice, reminds us that our worship is a response to His unending love.  But, festivals eventually end.  The joy we find in Jesus, the Bridegroom, however, is eternal.
