In this way, there is Gospel meaning in the little, mundane gestures of life. We repeat so many small movements in a day, and we have lost the significance of them. Laundering clothes, folding the clothes, putting them away. These small actions are actions of love, for the dignity of the other, for the dignity of our own being.
Marian shares her desire for each of us to find our home in the wounded and pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary this new year. May we find our deepest yearnings for intimacy met there.
This is what the Sacred Heart is for us. A safe refuge from all the hurts and arrows of this world. A comfort amidst our crosses. An embrace when we feel alone.
