Teresa spent 18 years serving at the parish level in catechetical ministry, including nine years dedicated to youth ministry. During this time, she built strong partnerships with public schools and developed a mentoring program that emphasized a child development perspective and positive role models for students of all ages. Her parish work reflects a consistent focus on accompaniment, prevention, and the formation of young people and families.
For the past six years, Teresa has served as the Director of Marriage and Family Ministry for the Diocese of Cleveland, supporting parishes, diocesan offices, clergy, leaders, and individuals across eight counties. In this role, she draws on her background in mental health, her understanding of the human condition, and her commitment to faith formation to strengthen marriage preparation, ongoing family support, and response efforts throughout the diocese.
In addition to her ministry and clinical work, Teresa has contributed nationally as a content creator for the USCCB 2025 Bishops’ Gathering. She was one of 50 national diocesan directors invited to participate in the first-ever USCCB Marriage Summit. In 2025, she coordinated the first Marriage Task Force in Cleveland, resulting in updated best practices for marriage preparation, ongoing support, and crisis response, and she led the update of diocesan domestic violence advocacy resources. Teresa is also a trained facilitator for Catholics for Family Peace concerning domestic violence prevention and awareness.

“How it breaks Jesus’ heart to have us picking up nickels and dimes off the sidewalk when there is a bank vault of treasure He offers us! He lives and moves and has His being within us. His very life is ours, from being carried in the safety of His Mother’s womb, to the security of His home life with her and Joseph, to His transforming miracles, to all He is in His Cross, bearing away every barrier– and is in His risen life and presence forever with the Father, interceding for us without cease. The same Spirit that animates Him animates us. He came to show us the magnificent, simple truth–God wants to marry us. Be one with us here and for all eternity. Share everything of His life and beauty with us. He does not disdain our misery, but is madly drawn to it, longing with infinite patience to restore us to our true selves. Let us discover His Heart together! Let us learn to live heaven on earth.” – Bonnie West

Tears… sorrow, joy, betrayal, love, grief, grace…. spilling from my heart, too small and weak to contain the immensity of my emotions.
Sappho, the “Poetress” of antiquity, born in 620 BC, must have also wept tears of more than salt water… tears made of the unspeakable poetry of how Beauty and Love shatter and restore the heart the same as Sorrow and Longing.
I stood my sketchbook on the easel and placed a brush full of water tinted with color gently on the eyes, I let the tears fall and run freely down the page…. as they freely flow upon my cheeks… this is the beauty of weeping… the language of tears.
Finger-painting spirals with acrylics is one of my favorite soothing and prayerful creative experiments.
My broken heart is healed within Jesus’ Sacred Heart.
Watercolor resist of God’s promises to heal all our wounds and heartache.
Join us for the rosary, with reflections from ‘Theology of the Body Rosary Meditations’ by Debbie Staresinic. Pray the rosary while contemplating Christ’s Love for His Bride the Church.
Every Wednesday evening from 8:15pm-9:15pm ET.
We pray the Intergenerational Healing Rosary and then sit in the quiet and peace together for a time of listening to the Holy Spirit.
We use the book titled, “Intergenerational Healing Rosary” by Father Gustavo E. Jamut, OMV for our rosary prayers: “Using biblical texts and appropriate prayers within the context of the Holy Rosary, the booklet shows us how to pray for family healing and liberation going back to 15 generations of our maternal and paternal bloodlines.”
